It is not a secret to anyone that Melody Brandon is my favorite cake decorator, the person who taught me my first cake decorating class around 4 years ago and keeps inspiring me with her beautiful creations and fresh ideas. WOW! Time flies by! We were talking about this yesterday afternoon, my daughter was 7 month when we first met and now she is 5!
I have to say that it took me way too long to go visit her new shop in Newport Beach, CA. Finally we made it and I am SO happy we all did!!
I am so lucky to be able to just get in my car and be there in less than one hour and have the most amazing time! I am not even counting the beautiful views on our way there.
It was a treat for me to be with Melody again, but it seems that my daughter was the one that had the best time ever and of course she stole the show! She was a kid in a candy store!!! Melody was so kind and made her feel at home, took her behind the counter with her, picked whatever she wanted and gave all the attention she was asking for. As sweet as always, Melody made our day with the most delicious treats ever! We could catch up for a little while and I could see all her work in the latest magazines and books.
